The Grassland Series

While plein air painting one night just outside of Eastend SK while an artist in residence at the Wallace Stegner House in town for the month of June 2015, I was accompanied by many Common Nighthawks and decided to turn on the camera briefly to capture some of their unique sounds.

This is a news clip that features the top 3 youth presenters at the "Get to Know- your wild neighbours" programs International Unconference held in British Columbia, Canada in early October 2014. I was selected as one of 12 youth (age 25 or younger) from across North America to present an art piece or project relating to making a statement of how we can better our natural world. Of course, I spoke about my beloved Grassland Series. I was selected as one of the top 3 presenters and featured in the first part of this news clip. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
